There is one District Head Quarter Hospital (DHH) at City Hospital, Cuttack. The district health system has been envisaged as per the norms set up by the state to achieve the objectives of primary health care. THE CITY HOSPITAL, CUTTACK is centrally located in the Cuttack city serving about half of the economically backward population of Cuttack city was established in the year 26th January 1959 and was inaugurated by the then HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER DR. HAREKRUSHNA MAHATAB to serve the people of Cuttack city which has developed into a bigger district hospital in last few years. DESCRIPTION OF FACILITY:- ? ESST. ON: 26th Jan 1959. ? TOTAL AREA OF THE HOSPITAL : 4.2 Acres(Approx) ? TYPE OF HEALTH INSTITUTION: SECONDARY CARE HOSPITAL. ? TOTAL NO OF BEDS: 130. 1. Everyday there are on an average of 1200 OPD patients out of which, around 56 patients get admitted to different wards depending on their disease. Computerized system has been adopted for issue of OPD registration Ticket and IPD tickets. 2. 02 Major OTs and 01 Minor OTs are functioning in the Hospital, Radiological investigations like X-Rays & Ultrasonography are available in the Hospital. 3. Various flagship program under National Health Mission and outsource services at DHH, Cuttack to augment the quality of service. AWARD & RECOGNITION 1. The City Hospital awarded with Kayakalp commendation Award for last three consecutive financial years i.e. 2019- 20, 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23. 2. Again, this hospital awarded with LaQshya Certification for imparting quality health care services of Labor room and Maternity Operation theatre in the year 2020-21.
